A response to misleading statements about the Sheikh of Salmaan al-'Awdah declaring takfeer on all Muslim countries.
This is absolutely not permissible to generalize about a people and kufr here is, all people are Muslims. This is not true.
Wednesday, Safar 22, 1422, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) has received the following question regarding the following sentence of Salmaan al-'Awdah, "Eminent Sheikh, alcuni di loro dicono: "Le bandiere (o striscioni) che sono alzati in lungo e in largo del mondo Islamico non sono altro che bandiere laiche (o secolari)" [1] Qual'è il verdetto in merito?"
Shaykh Saalih (hafidhahullaah) ha detto: "Quanto detto è una menzogna, passare sentenze generali sulle persone considerandole miscredenti e laiche. Questo è Takfeer di massa, e chiediamo rifugio in Allah. Tra le persone ci sono credenti, e tra questi ci sono miscredenti, e tra loro ci sono i munaafiqoon (ipocriti), non diamo quindi sentenze generalizzate su di essi.
Questo non è assolutamente ammissibile, generalizzare il kufr su un popolo e da qui dire, Tutte le persone sono Muslim. This is not true. Or say that all people are disbelievers. It is not true. Or say that all people are munaafiqoon. This is a pointless discussion. Rather, we say, among the Muslims there are those true, and among them are hypocrites, and among them are disbelievers.
