If Allah had given authority to Khawarij, then the world would surely have been corrupted, the roads would be closed [38] so that the pilgrimage (Hajj) was terminated. So what was once Islam, it would be finished as Jahiliyyah (ignorance). Until the people pleading wrapped the tops of the mountains, as they did at the time of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance). Each of them had ten thousand fighters, fighters at one another, attesting to the affair disbelief.
